Cathay Pacific provides an Unaccompanied Minor (UM) service for children
travelling alone from India to ensure a safe and comfortable journey from
departure to arrival.
• Mandatory – For children aged 6 to under 12 years travelling without a
passenger aged 18 or above.
• Optional – For minors aged 12 to under 18 years, available upon request by
parents or guardians.
• Not permitted – Children under 6 years old cannot travel alone and must be
accompanied by an eligible adult.
The service includes:
• Dedicated staff escorting the child through check-in, security, boarding, and
immigration.
• Supervision during the flight and assistance during any layovers.
• Hand-over to the nominated guardian at the arrival airport after ID
verification.
Parents or guardians should contact Cathay Pacific well in advance to book the
UM service and review applicable fees, required forms, and travel document
guidelines.
