Tezu Airport
Tezu Airport (IATA: TEI, ICAO: VETJ) is located at Tezu in the state of
Arunachal Pradesh, India. The development of the airport, at a cost of Rs.
790 million, was approved during 2009/10.
Runway, terminal building and air traffic control tower completed on 2014.
After upgraded, the Airport currently able to handle ATR 72 type of
aircraft.
Tezu Airport one of the 5 low cost airports to be developed by
Airports Authority of India (AAI). The
maximum terminal capacity for arrival and departure is 25 passengers. The
Airport is located 4 km from town center.
Tezu is also an AGL of Indian Military. Other nearby airports include
Pasighat Airport,
Zero Airport, Walong AGL,
Itanagar Airport, etc.
Airlines and Destinations
Guwahati-Tezu-Guwahati scheduled commercial domestic flights operation
commenced from 19 August 2021. The flight which takes 1 hour each way is
operated by the flybig. This will boost the tourism in the region. Tezu is
covered under the UDAN scheme.
