When flying from India with Cathay Pacific, baggage allowance depends on
your travel class and route.
For flights operating under the weight system (common on routes to Asia,
Europe, and Africa), Economy Class passengers are typically permitted 30 kg of
checked baggage. Premium Economy Class passengers may check up to 35 kg,
Business Class passengers up to 40 kg, and First Class passengers up to 50 kg.
There is no limit on the number of bags, provided the total weight stays within
the allowance.
For flights using the piece system (generally for travel to or from the
Americas), Economy Class passengers may check two pieces, each weighing up to 23
kg. Premium Economy permits two pieces of up to 25 kg each, Business Class
allows two pieces of 32 kg each, and First Class permits three pieces of 32 kg
each.
All passengers are entitled to one carry-on bag and one personal item. The
carry-on bag must not exceed 7 kg in Economy and Premium Economy, and 10 kg in
Business and First Class.
Marco Polo Club and oneworld elite members may receive additional baggage
allowances. Excess baggage charges apply if limits are exceeded, and sporting
equipment may be subject to special handling.
