SriLankan Airlines Children Flying Alone Policy

Children between the ages of 5 and 16 travelling alone are classified as Unaccompanied Minors.

Unaccompanied Minors Information

When booking a ticket for an unaccompanied minor, please make sure that you keep the airline alerted to ensure that special arrangements are made for the care of the Unaccompanied Minor during their travel.

Tickets for Unaccompanied minors cannot be purchased online. Please contact nearest ticket office, global call center in such instances.

Passengers between the ages of 12 and 17 are not able to accompany a child alone without a passenger who is 18 years or older. In such cases, both passengers would be considered as minors travelling alone and the applicable adult fare applies for all. Please contact your local SriLankan Airlines office to arrange these bookings.

Unaccompanied minors are required to be physically present at the airport counter in order to check in.
