Amritsar Airport Public Transport

The Airport is located about 11 kms northwest of the city of Amritsar on the Amritsar-Ajnala Road, near the village of Raja Sansi. It is well connected to other parts of the city by all modes of transport.

Buses

The Amritsar Bus Stand is located at a distance of 22 Km from the airport. One can get a local as well as tourist bus to reach the airport. It takes 24 minutes to reach the bus stand from the airport.

Rail

The railway station of Amritsar is 23 kms away from the airport. One can take a bus or hire a cab to reach the railway station and vice versa.

Taxis

General and prepaid taxi services are available in Amritsar Airport.

Future Connectivity Plan

Air India has planned to provide a regular bus service for its passengers to and from Jalandhar. The state government has also have plans to build a monorail line to connect the airport with Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) and the Railway Station in Amritsar.
