Driver's License Requirements

A valid driving license from the country of residence is required and must have been held for a minimum of one year. A driving license written in Non-Roman alphabet must be supported by an international driving license.

International driving permit is MANDATORY to rent self drive cars. (In case of foreign nationals)

The verification and copies of international driving license (must in case of foreign nationals) or driving license valid for driving in India, copy of passport (must in case of foreign nationals) or any photo identity card required.

An International Driving Permit (IDP) serves only as a translation of a driver's existing license, and by itself is not acceptable for vehicle rental.
