Gaya Accommodations

There are no on-site airport hotels at Gaya Airport (Bodhgaya Airport), but there are few hotels can be found within a short distance from the Airport. Some offer free shuttle transfers to and from the airport.

Bodhgaya offers a fairly extensive range of places to stay, with facilities which includes three star hotels, budget hotels, and a number of guesthouses and tourist bungalows. In addition to the regular accommodation offered by commercial establishments, rooms (or beds) are offered by some monasteries in Bodhgaya. These come minus the frills, but are usually comfortable and clean enough, besides being fairly cheap. Do note, however, that monasteries usually offer first preference to pilgrims of their own country.

Budget Hotels

Hotels under this category will be mid or low range and will provide decent service with all basic facilities.

The Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation runs three hotels in the region— Siddhartha Vihar, Buddha Vihar and Sujata Vihar. The hotels are 17 kms from the railway station. The other one is Hotel Bodhgaya Ashok that is run by Indian Tourism development Corporation. The property is 10 kms from the airport and 20 kms from railway station.

You can check out Hotel Embassy which is located in the heart of the city and is 8 kms from Gaya Airport, 16 kms from Gaya Railway Station. Hotel Shashi International is located close to Mahabodhi Temple and is 14 kms from airport and 15 kms from railway station.
