Thiruvananthapuram Airport Passenger Guides
The passengers can check-in at any counter because of the installation of a
Common Users Terminal Equipment (CUTE) system. X-ray machines are attached
to the either side of the conveyor belts for faster clearance of baggage.
The check in area has a floor of 950 sq. metres and the arrival area holds
570 sq. metres. The annual handling capacity of the terminal is about 1.33
millions. The entrance to the terminal is from the Chaka-Eenchakkal road,
and a bridge across the Parvathy Pauthanar facilitates a link to the
Kazhauttam-Inchivila NH 47 bypass.
Due to the new terminal at the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport (Trivandrum
Airport), it can now handle about 1600 passengers, the number formerly being
500. The terminal 1 caters solely to domestic flights and terminal 2 caters
to the international flights.
The cargo activities at the Trivandrum Airport are carried out through the
Kerala State Industrial Enterprises (KSIE), a government of Kerala
undertaking). The cargo warehouse is on the airport premises.

Arrival Guides
1. On arrival at the arrival terminal, follow the "Arrival" instructions to
the baggage claim.
2. To take luggage, check the screen information on the conveyer belt
according your flight.
3. The airline staff will conduct an inspection according to the luggage
claim tag.
4. If the luggage lost, you can contact the airline staff at the Lost and
Found counter.
5. It’s available the trolley facilities in the luggage claim area.
Pick-up Zone
It’s provided for pick-up vehicle to raise passengers and luggage.

Departure Guides
Here are the stages - stages that must be passed by passengers:
Security inspection
To enter the departure terminal, all passengers must go through security
checks doors. That must be considered at this stage include:
Prepare your travel documents as follows:
• Tickets as corresponding dates
• Identity card
• All luggage must be checked through the x-ray machine.
• To facilitate the inspection process, so that all metal objects such as
mobile phones, keys, and other, to be put into bags.
• All passengers must go through Walk through Metal Detector (WTMD).
• If necessary, passengers and luggage can be checked manually by Airport
Security Officer.
• Report to the Security Officer if your service: (i) Using pacemakers (ii)
Carrying of firearms
Not allowed to bring along sharp and dangerous items such as knives,
penknives, nail clipper, cutter, lighters, matches, gas, and so forth.
Check-in
Prepare your travel documents, as follows:
• Tickets with corresponding dates
• Identity card / Passport
• Please queue up the reporting table (the check-in counter) corresponding
to your airline. Table reporting at least 2 / 3 hours before departure time.
• For flight safety, report your luggage weighing more than 7 kg, each
passenger only
allowed to carry one luggage that weighs less than 7 kg into the aircraft
cabin.
Scanning / Tapping Boarding Pass
• Submit your boarding pass to the attendant tapping.
Security Inspection
• Passengers are obliged to release the belts, watches, hats, jackets, keys,
coins and empty the contents of the pocket / shirt./
Departure Lounge
After reporting your departure in the reporting table, you can wait the
departure time in Departure Lounge according to the location indicated on
the Boarding Pass.
Transit Information
• When arrive at the arrival terminal, follow the “arrival” instructions to
the transit counter and transfer to self-reporting and document checking
your airline's flight.
• Transit and transfer passengers do not need to go out to do the inspection
Security (unless necessary)
• After the inspection, you can go directly to the departure lounge to wait
on the boarding time.
Security Guides
1. Security Screening
• Prepare your travel documents (valid passport, airline ticket or booking
confirmation, and visa (if needed)
• Put items containing liquids, aerosols and gel into the tray
• Put electronic items (i.e. laptops, mobile phones, tablets) and metal
(e.g., locks, coin) into another tray.
• oose jackets, sweaters, hats and shoes then put into a tray
• Put your luggage in the X-ray conveyor belt
• Physical examination will be carried out by using a walkthrough metal
detector.
2. Prohibited baggage
• Indonesia has strict regulations for passengers carrying prohibited items
in flight. You are strongly advised to ask the airline staff before check-in
if it is not convinced by the items in your hand luggage, to prevent
unnecessary delays.
3.Guidelines for Liquids, Aerosols and Gels in Hand Bags
• Liquids, aerosols and gels must be in containers with a capacity of a
maximum of 100ml each.
• The containers should be sealed in a transparent bag size of 1 liter.
• Seal plastic bags should be closed tightly.
• Each person may only carry one plastic bag sealed. This sealed bag must be
presented to the clerk at the counter.
• Exceptions are allowed for medications, baby food and other food specials.
• Liquor or other liquids, aerosol products, and gels (over 100ml) purchased
from overseas airports should be sealed in a sealed bag.
