Bathinda Airport
Bathinda Airport (IATA: BUP, ICAO: VIBT) is a civil enclave at the Bhisiana
Air Force Station of the Indian Air Force. The domestic air terminal is
being built near Virk Kalan village, 20 kilometres northwest of Bhatinda,
Punjab, India.
The
Airports Authority of India (AAI) has constructed the Bathinda Civil
Enclave on 42 acres of land owned by Indian Air Force. The Airport has one
asphalt runway, oriented 13/31, the length of runway is 9,200 ft (2,804 m)
with elevation 662 ft (201 m) above sea level.
The apron able to accommodate two ATR 42 type of aircraft simultaneously
while the glass and steel terminal building is feature a VIP lounge, two
check-in counters, a 30-seater security hold and two conveyor belts. A
parking lot for 25 cars is also being constructed.
Even after its completion since August, 2012, the Bathinda Airport, one of
the much hyped projects, has remained a non-starter, following reluctance of
aviation companies to start domestic flights from here. Currently there are
no scheduled flights operated in this Airport.

located 98 km and 203 km away from Bathinda Airport.
The Airport is managed and controlled by
AAI.
Airlines and Destinations
It was announced on 25 November 2016 that Alliance Air would begin
flights between Bathinda and Delhi. The announcement came one week after
talks between Air India and local officials regarding the viability of
flights to Bathinda. The flights began operating three times a week with the
ATR 72-600. A ceremony was held to inaugurate the terminal and the Delhi
flights.

Airport to Delhi and Jammu in
