Shravasti Airport

Shrawasti Airport is situated in Shravasti District in Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is near an important Buddhist pilgrimage site; Buddha is believed to have spent 24 monsoons in this city.

Age-old stupas, majestic monasteries and several temples near the village of "Sahet-Mahet" establish Buddha's association with Shravasti.

Airports Authority of India (AAI) is the operator of this Airport.

The Airport has a runway with asphalt surface. The length of runway is 4,250 ft ( 1,295 m). It is located at an elevation of 366 ft (112 m) above mean sea level.

Airport is developing by upgrading the existing government airstrip.

Under UDAN-II scheme, flights from Shravasti to Lucknow would be started soon.
