Summer Hill

Summer Hill is also called as Potter’s Hill. In the past, this was where potters used to gather clay to make pots. At a height of 1283 meter above sea level, Summer Hill offers spectacular views of the valley and the greenery around.

It is 5 km from the famous Ridge, which is frequented by tourists in great numbers. The hill is a part of a cluster of seven hills, which form Shimla and hence you are sure to have breathtaking sights from the top.

Tourists love Summer Hill not only for its enthralling beauty but also for the Nature Park built here. It is rich in flora and fauna. You can opt for horse rides to travel the dense forest rich in cedar and oak.

The famous Georgian mansion where Gandhi resided is on this hill and hence it is a frequented spot by tourists. Summer Hill is also home to the Indian Institute of Advanced Study.

To take a quiet walk and enjoy nature in its fullest form, Summer Hill is the right destination. Deodar trees, Pine trees, and the snow clad mountain terrains are mesmerizing to look at and it is no surprise if you long to be a part of this world.

Since winter could freeze you, the best months to visit Summer Hill would be the summer time only. The pleasant weather will help you make the most of your trip.
