Thalamalai

Thalamalai is a hilly area, located 75 km away from Trichy and on the way of Trichy to Namakkal Highway.

Thalamalai is a part of Eastern Ghats. This hill gets its name because it resembles the head of a person (in tamil head means Thala). It is believed that this is the face of lord Vishnu.

There is a temple at the top of the hill for Lord Vishnu.
