Tombs is built on a raised platform, it built using dressed white
kankar stones blocks to a certain height which most likely are taken
from a Hindu temple destroyed by the iconoclast Muslim invaders, top of
the Tomb is built using lakhauri bricks, all four sides have arched
gates.
The dome on top sits on an octagonal drum, there is no evidence of
any grave inside.
Getting There
Tomb of Baba Pranpir Badshah is located near the Government College
Complex in Hisar. Tourists can hire local taxis/cabs or auto rickshaws to
reach the attraction. Buses (both private and HSRTC) operated run to and
from the city.
Hisar is well connected to
the rest of Haryana by roadways and National Highway. Bus and auto rickshaws service is the major
means of transport in the town. Hisar has its own Railway Station named as
Hisar Railway Station which is connected to the major cities of Haryana. It
is situated on the major New Delhi-Bhatinda railway line and is linked with
the major cities in India.
Hisar has its own airport named
as Hisar Airport,
roughly 12 km from the city center.
Hisar Airport currently
is use by Haryana Institute of Civil Aviation’s flying club to provide
flying training. The nearest International Airport to Hisar is
Indira Gandhi International Airport
at New Delhi, roughly three hour drive from Hisar city. Frequent flights to
various national and international destinations take off from there.
