Hissar district, also called Hisar. Hissar town was one of the prime centers of Harappan culture. The area has been associated with ancient Vedic tribes such as Bharatas, Purus, Kurus, Mujavatas and Mahavrishas.

Prime tourist attractions included Bishnoi Mandir, Firoz Shah Palace Complex, Gujari Mahal and Humayun's Mosque.

Hisar has its own airport named as Hisar Airport, roughly 12 km from the city center. Hisar Airport currently is use by  Haryana Institute of Civil Aviation’s flying club to provide flying training. The nearest International Airport to Hisar is Indira Gandhi International Airport at New Delhi, roughly three hour drive from Hisar city. Frequent flights to various national and international destinations take off from there.

Firoz Shah Palace Complex Firoz Shah Palace Complex
Located in front of Hisar Bus Stand in the city of Hisar in Haryana. It was built by Firuz Shah Tughlaq in 1354 AD.
 
Pranpir Badshah Tomb Pranpir Badshah Tomb
A 14th century tomb, built from the white Shiva Hindu temple material, near Mahabir Stadium in Hisar city of Haryana.
 
Bishnoi Mandir Bishnoi Mandir
Also known as Asthdham, a holy place where the Bishnoi Guru Jambeshwar Ji lived or visited. The huge shrine is white painted symbolizing peace and serenity.
 
Jindal Parks Jindal Parks
There are two Jindal Park’s in Hisar city. The first Jindal Park is situated on the NH-65 where as the other park is located on Raipur road opposite Mela Ground.
 
Gujari Mahal Gujari Mahal
The Mahal was built by Feroze Shah Tughlaq for his beloved wife Gujari Rani. The Mahal (Palace) has huge elongated walls plastered thick with lime and narrow gateways.
 
Lat Ki Masjid Lat Ki Masjid
An Islamic religious shrine is a historical masterpiece and a blend of different styles of architecture. The slanting walls are built in the Suljuk style, the grids (jalis) are built in the Hindu style.
 
Town Park Town Park
An amusement park in Hisar and a popular entertainment attraction. There is a beautiful musical fountain in the center of the park that is illuminated in the night.
 
Devi Bhavan Mandir Devi Bhavan Mandir
A historic and popular religious shrine of Hisar. It’s believed that initially during its time of construction the temple comprised of four idols
