There are seven lakes in
Kalyan and Dombivli, Kala Talao Lake is one of the
most famous. This is a historic lake in town of Kalyan. A year or so
back it was in a pathetic state, but now after renovation - it has
become a favorite jogging / walking park for many living around the
lake.
The atmosphere is quite nice in the early mornings.
The boating club
at Kala Talao is great news and everyone would like to go there. Kali
Masjid which was constructed 600 years ago, when Kalyan was under Mughal
rule is located near Kala Talao.
While on the other side another
monument Shahi Makhbara is located. The 17th century tomb was
constructed by the then Subhedar Matabar Khan in the memory of his wife. |
