Jama Masjid is a mosque in Mominpura, Nagpur. The mosque has a dome in
its center and four minarets. The mosque has a garden in front in the
north direction and a vehicle parking in the south direction.
Jama
Masjid is situated 1.5 kms east of Nagpur Railway Station in Mominpura
area. Mominpura is popularly known as the
Chandni Chowk of Nagpur. Small
restaurants and hotels are open all night. Biryani is served at numerous
eateries here. Jama Masjid is the biggest mosque in Mominpura.
During the
month of Ramadan a big market of cloth, footwear, ornaments etc. occurs
here. People from all over Nagpur come here for shopping and prays as
well. The streets are full of crowds in Ramadan.
