Faizabad itself boasts a huge assortment of attractive places and is also known for its hospitality. Major attractions in Faizabad include Gulab Bari, Bahu Begum Ka Maqbara, Company Gardens and many others. Apart from its history, the city is also famous for having proximity to the most religious city Ayodhya, which is the birth place of Lord Ram, the prominent Hindu deity.

Faizabad has an old airport named Faizabad Airport and it is use as flying school at Naka along National Highway 28 (NH28). No commercial scheduled flights operate in this Airport.

The nearest airport from Faizabad is Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport at Lucknow, about 128 kilometers from Faizabad. The Airport is well connected to other cities in India such as New Delhi, Mumbai, Agra, Chennai and Bangalore. From the Airport you can hire cabs or take a train to reach Faizabad.

Gulab Bari (literally meaning 'Garden of Roses') the Tomb of Nawab Shuja-ud-Daula is in Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh. This place has a good collection of roses of various varieties set by the sides of water fountains.
