Kolab Botanical Garden stands beside the Majestic Kolab Reservoir is
ideal for weekend picnic for people all over the district. This place is
highly admired for its scenic beauty, attracting tourists for weekend picnic
and boating.
The entry to the Kolab Dam is open from 9.00 AM to 7.30 PM all the
days and visitors need to purchase entry ticket for the visit. Boating

The best time to visit Jeypore is in winter since the summers are
irritably hot in Orissa.
Getting There
Kolab Dam is just well connected and lies well within the reach of
Jeypore. You can approach Kolab Dam by road from Gunupur via Gudari, which
is 245 km from Koraput. Taxis and autos are available for Kolab Dam. Buses
are the cheapest mode of transport though not the most comfortable one.
Before you board a bus, you should be ready not to make any fuss about the
crowd and be willing to brush your shoulders with the rustic locals; if you
cannot, it's better you arrange for private transport.
Jeypore is well connected with
other nearby cities but there are some roads which are in a pathetic
condition. Rickshaws are available. There are a number of moderately priced
hotels in the town.

at Biju Patnaik
International Airport, Bhubaneswar.

Visakhapatnam Airport, located in
Visakhapatnam, 227 km southeast of Jeypore. It is about
five hours
drive to Visakhapatnam
Airport from Jeypore. To make arrangements for a taxi from Airport
to Jeypore, contact one the taxi operators and travel agents that have
counter in the Airport.
