Jeypore

Jeypore, also spelled Jayepore, is a large city in the state of Odisha and is famous for its fresh water lakes, waterfalls and valleys. Jeypore is home to about 62 affiliated communities such as Gond, Dhruba, Paraja, Koya. The city has its own historic significance and is the second largest city after Berhampur of south Odisha. Locally pronounced as 'Joypur' and the literal meaning of Jayepore is 'City of Victory'. Visiting Jayepore is a welcome break for tourists who want to take a break from the city life.

The nearest domestic airport is Visakhapatnam Airport, located in Visakhapatnam, 227 km southeast of Jeypore. It is about five hours drive to Visakhapatnam Airport from Jeypore. 	Kolab Dam Kolab at an altitude of about 3000 ft. above sea level on River Kolab, stands the majestic Kolab Dam. This water reserve is a favorite area for morning walkers.
	Bagra Waterfall The Bagra Waterfall in Jeypore is a charming waterfall on the River Kolab and an ideal picnic spot. You can visit the Bagra Waterfall as part of a daylong itinerary.
	Minna Jhola Lies on the confluence of three rivers and is a perfect place to relax and enjoy a day in the sun. The calm and quiet surroundings make a perfect outing spot.
	Gupteswar Cave The Cave Shrine of Gupteswar in Jeypore is dedicated to Lord Shiva, the destroyer among the holy trinity in Hindu mythology. On Shiva Ratri the Gupteswar is flocked by pilgrims all day and all night long.
	Jagannath Sagar A lake nestled in the heart of the town of Jeypore. The lake is flanked by park and play areas. There is also a boating club here.
