There is a waterfall named as Rahala
Waterfalls, which is located at a distance
of 16 km from Manali on the way to Rohtang Pass. This
waterfall
flows down from an altitude of 2,500 metres and looks amazingly
wonderful. Photography buffs must visit this pass as they get to
click one of the most beautiful pictures of nature.
It is recommended to hire a local cab or take a bus, as the drive to
Rohtang Pass becomes quite tough with slippery road and narrow
curves.

Getting There
Kullu is well connected to major
parts of the country by a network of roads. The distance from Delhi is 522
km approximately. Regular direct buses ply between these stations including
deluxe, semi-deluxe and air conditioned buses during tourist season.
Jogindernagar Railway Station is
the nearest railhead (123 km) to Kullu that connects the hill station with
several important cities of the country. Chandigarh and Ambala are other
options to reach Kullu by train. From the railheads, one can get several
mode of transportation including taxi and bus at reasonable cost.
Bhuntar
Airport located at a distance of 10 km via NH3 from Kullu and is
the gateway to this region. Cabs and private cars are easily
available at the city for the airport.
Local Transportation in
Kullu comprises of buses operating regularly between Kullu-Manali
and Manikaran. Taxis are also available which can be hired for a day
or only for particular destination. HRTC provides public transit
facility to its passengers in the state of Himachal and to the
adjoining states like Punjab, Haryana and Uttaranchal. HRTC runs
approximately 1733 routes.
