Located at the banks of the Beas River, Kullu valley is home to the picturesque towns of Kullu and Manali. Due to their close proximity, they are often considered as a single destination. The valley is known for its amazing hills and the various temples and sight-seeing locations attract a huge number of visitors each year. The Kullu valley is surrounded by deodar and pine forests and is located between the lower and the greater Himalayan ranges as well as the inner Himalayan ranges of the Pir Panjal. Kullu-manali is one of the topmost tourist places in Himachal Pradesh and is frequented by huge crowds of tourists and pilgrims.

Bhuntar Airport located at a distance of 10 km via NH3 from Kullu and is the gateway to this region. Cabs and private cars are easily available at the city for the airport.

Rohtang Pass Rohtang Pass
Located at a height of 3979 metres and at a distance of 91 km from Kullu and 51 km from Manali, Rohtang Pass is on the highway to Keylong / Leh.
 
Hadimba Temple Hadimba Temple
Far away from the hustle and bustle of city life, the peaceful Hadimba Temple is surrounded by towering deodar trees. It is also known as the Dhoongri Temple, as it is located inside the Dhoongri forest.
 
Vashist Hot Water Springs Vashist Hot Water Springs
Located at a distance of 3 kms from Manali, there is a small village called Vashist. It is situated on the left bank of River Beas towards Rohtang Pass. This village is known for its natural hot sulphur springs and temples.

The two prominent monasteries that attract a large number of tourists from all across the world are Gadhan Thekchhokling Gompa and Himalayan Nyingamapa Gompa.
   
Beas River Beas River
Also known as the Biás or Bias, is a River in North India. The river rises in the Himalayas in central Himachal Pradesh, India, and flows for some 470 kilometres (290 mi) to the Sutlej River in the Indian state of Punjab.
     
Chandrakhani Pass Chandrakhani Pass
Chandrakhani Pass is located in the Kullu District at a height of 3,660 metres. It forms a way (pass) between the villages of Rumsu and Pulag to the well known village of Malana.
 
     
Maa Sharvari Temple Maa Sharvari Temple
One of the ancestral deities of the Kullu Kings and also a manifestation of the Goddess Durga. The picturesque location of this temple makes it one of the must visit attractions in Kullu.
 
     
Rahala Falls Rahala Falls
Located at a height of 8,500 ft and about 16 km from Manali. It is located on the way to Rohtang Pass and whoever visits the Rohtang Valley makes a halt at Rahala Falls to enjoy the scenic beauty of the place.
