Shree Sant Goroba Kaka Temple

Sant Goroba was born in Ter (Dhoki) in the year 1267. Hence the village is popular and known as "Goroba Ter". The Temple of Sant Goroba is also one of the attraction for tourist and pilgrimage visiting to Osmanabad district.

The Temple was built in 13th century after the death of Sant Goroba in 1317. This square shaped temple is constructed fully with stone and is one of the best model in architecture. They have also constructed one "Sabha Mandap" to perform religious and cultural activities.

Mostly the pilgrimage those are from rural area and are often visiting to Pandharpur and Tuljapur visit here on their return journey.

 

Getting There

Ter is located about 20 km northeast of Osmanabad, it can be easily accessible from Osmanabad.

Osmanabad is well connected by good roads to major cities in Maharashtra. National Highway 211 (NH211) connects Osmanabad to other major cities of Maharashtra.

Osmanabad has its own Railway Station named as Osmanabad Railway Station which is connected to the major cities of Maharashtra. It is linked with the cities like Mumbai, Pune, Miraj Kolhapur, etc.

Osmanabad has its own domestic airport named as Osmanabad Airport. Currently there are no scheduled airlines operating at this Airport. The nearest domestic / international airport is Pune International Airport, roughly 261 km from Osmanabad. Pune International Airport is well connected to major cities in India.
