There are temples of Lord Shiva and Lord Hanuman on the banks of the
river Godavari at Someshwar. This is a very green place as well as the
climate is so cool. One can also enjoy swimming and boating here.
Someshwar situated on the Gangapur Road on the way to Gangapur dam,
about 7 km away from Nasik city. Because of its serene beauty, this place is favourite for film
shootings.
There is a village named Anandwalli on the way to Someshwar.
It is said that Peshwas - Anandibai and Raghobadada, lived there for
some time and hence the place is called so. The Navasha Ganpati temple
located at Anandwalli is believed to be built by them. Other attraction
of this place is the 10 meter long Dudhsagar
Waterfalls.
