The majestic snow clad mountains, stunningly rich greenery and the beautiful lakes in the land of Shimla greet you to enjoy their timeless beauty. Certain places on earth do boast of places that equal or even surpass the beauty of Shimla. However, Shimla which is one of the most visited tourist spot in Himachal Pradesh holds magic in the air, which is beyond comparison. No wonder it is called the Queen of Hill Stations. The main tourist places in Shimla are the Arki Fort, Scandal Point, Jakhoo Temple and Christ Church.

Nearest airport to Shimla is Shimla Airport, located at Jabarhatti, around 22 km to Shimla. The airport currently not provided any scheduled flight. The nearest domestic / international Airport from Shimla is Chandigarh International Airport at Chandigarh, roughly 3 hours 30 min (113.8 km) drive via NH5 from Shimla. It is well connected with major cities like Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi and Mumbai etc.

Jakhoo Hill Jakhoo Hill
The highest point of the city is Jakhoo Hill that is covered with Alpine trees. At the top of the flat hill is the colourful Jakhoo Temple and the newly constructed Hanuman statue. Jakhoo Hill is a favourite escape for visitors wanting peace and calm from the city far below.
 
     
Scandal Point Scandal Point
Located to the western edge of Shimla where two of the city's most important roads, The Ridge and Mall Road, converge.

Located in this area of the Ridge are two fine examples of colonial British Raj architecture, the neo-gothic Church of Christ and the mock Tudor state Public library.
 
     
Christ Church Christ Church
The second oldest church in North India, after St John's Church in Meerut. It is a parish in the Diocese of Amritsar in the Church of North India. Its current incumbent is The Rev. Mushtaq Achher Malk, B.D., M.Th., whose ecclesiastical designation is presbyter-in-charge.
 
     
Shimla State Museum Shimla State Museum
Situated at the top of Mount Pleasant. Also known as Himachal State Museum and Library, it was built in the year 1974. It was constructed to preserve the cultural richness of the state and to record its rich past.
 
     
Summer Hill Summer Hill
Also called as Potter’s Hill. In the past, this was where potters used to gather clay to make pots. At a height of 1283 meter above sea level, Summer Hill offers spectacular views of the valley and the greenery around.
 
     
Rashtrapati Niwas Rashtrapati Niwas
Also known as Viceregal Lodge, is located on the Observatory Hills of Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India. It was formerly the residence of the British Viceroy of India.
 
     
Jakhoo Temple Jakhoo Temple
At the top of the famous Jakhoo Hill is located the famous Jakhoo Temple of Shimla. It is hardly 2 kilometers from the Ridge and is an uphill climb through the beautiful deodar trees.
 
     
Mall Road Mall Road
One place that you cannot ignore is definitely the Mall Road in Shimla. Located at the heart of the town, the Mall Road in Simla is one of the busiest commercial areas of this place.
 
     
Kufri Kufri
While in Shimla, visit its colder, higher and less crowded cousin, Kufri just 13 km away from the main town. The views and sceneries here only get better, and the landscapes more flattering, a bit untouched with the tourist rush.
 
     
Arki Fort Arki Fort
Situated at a distance of approximately 40 km from Shimla, Gurkhas trying to invade the city used Arki Fort as their stronghold during the Gurkha Wars that went on till 1815-16.
